Mountain Bound

We will heading to Mammoth mountain on Sunday. The last four days brought about 4 feet of new snow so we will be rolling in the powder. Yes, it will be colder for us since we usually go to the mountains in March but I think the kids will have loads of fun.

Clear weather and lots of snow await so I need to get organized.

Josh's winter extravaganza

there were so many cute projects this day....starting with cookie decorating. Enough said...but then it was on to this cute pillow. The room mom took the kids pictures,, printed them onto iron on patches. The child just had to tie the little long pieces together but it was a little too much for them so the rest of the moms just tied them all during recess. The kids had much more fun stuffing their pillows with fluff. Then each child got a cute colorful scarf and got to decorate the Chinese take-out box to put it in. Super cute....here Josh is showing his GQ look.

Looking suave and debonair....

Thrills

I just uploaded some photos and I really am behind in posting. I took these pictures one day after Josh got out of school so we just hang out at the park waiting for Tyler. Sherri brings her wagon most of the time unless it's raining but this particular day...all the kids thought the wagon was the perfect toy. About 5-6 boys spent their endless energy pushing the wagon up a little hill while Josh was smart and rode it (letting them do all the work). Then Amber would climb in too and they would ride it down the little slope going down slow thinking it was some kind of thrill ride. Then they all do it over again....

Ahhh, to be young and carefree....

turnips

Honest, I'm still here. Between all the winter festivities at the kids' school and the normal craziness of the season, I've been kinda busy. Not much is new although I did make my annual photo calendars so if you're on my list...you'll be getting one soon after Christmas.

Hector was playing soccer with some kindergartners while I was in Vegas and got kicked in the calf by A. Apparently it was pretty bad that Hector couldn't walk home and had to get a ride from Sherri. Anyway, its almost 2 weeks later and he still has problem with his leg. It's questionable whether he can snowboard in one week. I'm sure he can manage to ski but we're going to have to wing it for now. I might be hanging out with Tyler on the slopes for our trip. :0

I'm still playing Animal Crossing but now have to share with Hector. He decided to create his own character while I was in Vegas so look for Chorizo in the town of Chillax. Heh. We made a killing on the stalk market of turnips so we managed to pay off a majority of our house loans. We even gave some bells (money) to Tyler and Joshua so they can use it on their games downstairs. Um, yeah, Tyler has no concept of money....he used the 400,000 bells to buy a designer bed for 300,000 bells. Ugh. His house was too small that the bed didn't even fit so he put up the bed for auction in the city for 30,000! Double ugh.

So I'm off to the city to try and get a great deal on a designer bed.....

barely here

Ugh, I'm all stuffy and hacking up lugies...I just hope the kiddies stay healthy. Plus it's raining and we had to cross a small river of water near the school so we got a good portion of our legs wet. I helped cut out paper Christmas stockings, punch numerous holes and add lots of yarn for the kids to lace up.

Knitting has ground to a halt. One pair of socks was past the heels but I lost some stitches that were twisted so I have no clue as to picking them back up so I'm shoving those aside to be ripped out and put back into rotation at a later date. I'm too tired to make anything special for anyone so they will just have to wait.

On a very good note, my cousin Hannah treated me to a fabulous massage at Burke Williams. I sat in the steam room scented with eucalyptus that cleared up my sinuses like magic. The massage therapist worked out all the knots and tension in my lower back. Happy day. Then I came home and managed to whip a great meal in 90 minutes. I'm loving my big Showtime rotisserie which handles the larger rib roast (4.76 lb) that I bought around Thanksgiving time. It took only about 75 minutes to roast and everyone loves the smell of spinning roasting meat. Joshua called it a chicken. :) Add some rice-a-roni and mixed vegetables and voila a great meal. so yummy. No room for dessert. Well, a couple of cookies that Hannah had made.

So I feel that I may tackle a new knitting project so I'll look around and procrastinate a bit.

Song of the Day

"Chasing Cars"
We'll do it all
Everything
On our own
We don't need
Anything
Or anyone
If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
I don't quite know
How to say
How I feel
Those three words
Are said too much
They're not enough
If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life
Let's waste time
Chasing cars
Around our heads
I need your grace
To remind me
To find my own
If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life
All that I am
All that I ever was
Is here in your perfect eyes, they're all I can see
I don't know where
Confused about how as well
Just know that these things will never change for us at all
If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

I love everything about this song. :)

more useless information

Okay this Animal Crossing video is for Joshua. The game allows you to design your own pattern to have for clothes etc. I've never done this before but I remember that the old Animal Crossing game guidebook had a couple of designs you could copy.

I won't designing anything as elaborate as this but the concept is simple. I do have knitting patterns that I could transfer because that is composed on graph paper. Hmmm...I can make the griffindor pattern..I'll have to see if it'll fit. Stay tuned.

Saria's Song

Such a pretty tune from the Legend of Zelda. I had part of this tune on the original Animal Crossing for my town's tune. I'll need to try and add this so I can enjoy it all the time in the new game.

It Fits!!

Yippee...the little sweater that I made for a friend's baby fits perfectly. I can't remember baby sizes so I was hoping that everything would turn out all right. Isn't she adorable in her sweater?
I've been obsessed with Animal Crossing even more now that I have Wi-Fi and WiiSpeak. I can visit other people's towns and talk to them. No more pointing the Wiimote at a keyboard and trying to type a letter at a time.
I've met people in Philadelphia, North Carolina and Oklahoma. All the women ooh and ahh over everyone's clothes and accessories so exchange them briefly so it'll register on their catalogs which they can buy from at their own town. Too funny. Hector was talking on the phone to his friend saying that I and some other women were undressing which caused some confusion. Yeah, get your mind out of the gutter....
Josh's birthday party was really fun. About 15 kids showed up and they all were well behaved. It was an observation that about 4 of kids were brought by their dads which is a strong turnout. The kids loved the super humongous pizza, the puppet show, bounce house and pinata. Hector and I were pretty busy so I didn't take very many pictures. I did take some video of the puppet show, pinata and birthday cake. Josh was so happy that he had his very own birthday party.
I was so exhausted that I decided not to go to the hockey game last night. He and Yan-Ro went and had a good time. I watched the game on TV and relaxed.
Today was much more relaxing. I feel that I'm on the verge of a cold and I don't want it to ruin my Vegas trip. Think positive thoughts.

on the loose

This morning I was taking the trash to the bin off to the side of our yard when I heard dogs barking. Our neighbors have a dog that kept getting into our yard a few months ago but we fixed it so end of problem. Um, no. As I was throwing the trash in the bin I saw the dog, a young retriever mix. So I walk toward the back of the yard hoping to see where the dog got in. I got closer to the fence and saw another dog poke is head out through the boards then retreat back into his yard. So there are 2 dogs living next door. The first dog is skittish and barking at me so there was no way he could get back through to his side or let me near him. I started back toward the gate when the 2nd dog bursts through to our yard and the 2 dogs go bonkers running around when I realize the gate it open but I'm too late. The dogs take off into the street and I'm thinking great....I need to get the kids ready for school and hopefully catch these stupid dogs. Yeah right. I walk next door and see the dogs running around the cud de sac then turn the corner to who knows where. Great. I ring the doorbell and the lady answers the door but she doesn't speak English and no one else is home who does. Argh. She comes back with a notepad where I write what happened and she figures out her dogs are loose.

I had to get back to the kids but I hope they can find their dogs safe and sound. I think they had tags. Bummer.

cute to what?

I came across this on youtube..I like this song although it's something I normally listen to so by the time I hear it, it's probably several months or years old. But I like the simple animation.

Then youtube links other postings that are similar. So here is a crazy person doing the video moves in Alaska wearing only a swimsuit leotard thing dancing in the snow. Oh and it's a dude! There really is nothing to do up there. :)

hockey

I happened to see this clip while checking hockey news. Chris Osgood is on the Detroit Red Wings, you last years's Stanley Cup champions but I guess this season hasn't been his best. How quickly you can go from hero to zero. But he is a good goalie.

Ta-Da!

Here is the lovely Noro Striped scarf made with Silk Garden. Lots of interesting color changes with some stripes having more contrast than others. Hopefully Lupe will take the scarf with her to Vegas so I can get a picture of her wearing it since I forgot yesterday.
I couldn't remember if I posted the latest pair of handwarmers but here they are. These are going to my friend Jan in the San Jose area. I'm sure she get more use out of them than I have so far.

Bad Blogger

I've been really bad this week. With the short school week for the kids, we were so busy getting ready for Thanksgiving. We were successful in finding a bigger rotisserie to accommodate my big rib roast (7.8 lbs) thanks to our search which ended at Sears.

Our Thanksgiving dinner turned out great. It was the first time using the new rotisserie so I think I can figure out future meals a bit better. And now we have leftovers which is great although I should check since we have extra men in the house this weekend. :)

I finished the Noro striped scarf for Lupe's birthday and had to give it to her right away because 1) I couldn't wait and 2) it most likely will get lost if I waited until her birthday. :)

So now today is all about keeping the kids entertained. Luckily Uncle Carlos is here to amuse the kids and we might be planning an outing tomorrow. I promise to be better next week and post some pictures because I know you are DYING to see the scarf.

City Folk

Animal Crossing City Folk continues the fun with a few new things. Well there is the city that you can take the bus from your town. Tyler had watched my little character go to the beauty shop called Shampoodles and get a haircut. I am asked several questions to determine my "look". I ended up with blue pigtails. Ugh. I changed it to a cute reddish bob the next day.

So Tyler has wanted to get his hair done. The following are pics from his game and a view of his haircut.

This first pic shows Tyler getting his questionaire and he chose to look like a rock star. I also thought he already looked like the real Tyler at this point.
A big hair dryer plops on his head which he thinks is absolutely hilarious.

Voila! I need to revise my thinking....this guys now looks exactly like Tyler. They even got the cowlick down pat.
Oi, now Joshua wanted to do his hair but I had him choose movie star looks so of course he has blond hair, parted down the middle feathered back. Oh, what a mess! Josh thinks he looks ridiculous. So do I so I need to help him earn more $ to change his hair to something normal.

Future Artists

Yesterday was the kids' art fair at school and both pieces of art was just too cute so I had them framed. I'm thinking of giving them as Christmas gifts to Grandma because they are one of a kind. Joshua did a family portrait. I love how the guys' hair is standing up and somehow I'm missing a shoe. Josh did such a great job.

And here is Tyler's artwork. Another great job of a farmhouse in the countryside. Great use of color. I'm so proud of them.

Busy

this morning I checked my phone and there were all these texts & emails saying that She-ra gave birth to a baby girl late last night. I ignored my phone last night so I had no clue that she was in labor.

I just finished my visit with the happy parents and totally adorable baby girl. Honestly the baby is soooooo cute and her head/hair is soft and velvety. She-ra relayed her labor story which didn't sound too pleasant but she did get an epidural which I knew she would even though she claimed she was going for the all natural birth before the actual time to deliver.

Anyway, I am so happy for them....and it works out that I had a knitted baby dress all finished. That makes it easier for me!

Costco shopping done already. I loaded up on 2 rib roasts, steaks and pork. I figured that I can roast meat and make chile next week to feed hungry guys in my family.

today

I have been a bad blogger. I bought Animal Crossing City Folks and it is just as addicting as ever. I restrain myself a lot though. :) A couple of visits here and there during the day. I started the kids their own games on the family room TV...maybe I need to figure out the WiFi bit out so I can chat with Kat (if she ever gets the game). Hint, hint.

Today I changed my hotel plans for Vegas. Loop and I originally planned to stay at Paris because I got a good deal and it's Loop's birthday plus she never stayed there before. Well, I got a promotion deal for the Bellagio which happens to include the days we'll be in Vegas. For a bit more, we can stay at the Bellagio and hopefully be upgraded to a lakeview room upon check-in. Keep your fingers crossed. As much as I want to conserve money, I've never stayed there and want to take full advantage of it while I can. So I made reservations and cancelled the Paris booking. Luckily Loop loves the Bellagio so it's all good.

Do what you can

With all the recent fires in southern California made me think of ways to help. Times are tough right now for everyone but I'm sure people have clothing or items they can donate. I was in the process of cleaning out old clothing for the kids' school but I'm going to give to Goodwill instead. From what I understand, one can donate items to Goodwill and the Red Cross will give out vouchers to fire victims. This way they can shop at Goodwill to allow them time and more choices. Here is the link. Wildfire relief

I'm off to find more clothing.

Monday

We had a great weekend although it went by too fast. Josh's soccer game went well; the team won and only one more game to go. On Saturday night, we headed over to my aunt's house for an early turkey dinner. They will be heading up to San Jose area for Thanksgiving so we decided to have our dinner a bit earlier which is not a problem. We had the usual turkey and stuffing with some Chinese dishes like noodles, shrimp and pig's feet. Josh like the pig's feet and shrimp so that's nice to know although I'm not sure he'd make a meal of it. I stuffed myself and now I have leftover turkey. Yum.

Today I cleaned out our closet and dresser of old clothes to benefit the kids' school. It's time to streamline the place even though it doesn't seem to be noticeable. A lot more needs to be done. The air is terribly dry with the fires going on. Today at the school, all the kids went straight to class...no running around. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by the fires and the brave firefighters who are battling the fires.

She-ra is almost ready to pop. The baby is due Nov. 24 but she could go anytime. I'm sure she will be very relieved to have the pregnancy over and done. i heard that she is trying to clean her house out too. Ugh....get some rest instead.

Word of the Day

I'm behind the times but I recently heard the word "chillax" which has become my favorite word. This word is part of my vocabulary now and Tyler gets to hear it alot. So I need to go "chillax" and watch Total Drama Island.

For those who don't know what "chillax" means....click here.

happy weekend

not much is new although this weekend might provide more interesting stories. We have our usual soccer game then later an early Thanksgiving dinner with my aunt's family. I think we our having the traditional turkey dinner with all the fixins plus it'll nice to catch up with the latest.

Latest future project

Okay, so I ordered more yarn although I'm trying desparately to knit what is in my stash. You can view the Flickr group which showcases the beautiful
Noro striped scarf.

Normally I dislike knitting scarves because it's too boring but seeing how gorgeous these turned out..I might change my mind for this one. :)

The yarn should arrive within a week or so...that means I need to finish my other projects soon.

Ends with a bang

Ok, I bought more yarn but this is it for this year, I promise.

Yesterday was a very busy but fun day. The kids had a 4 day weekend so on Tuesday I promised to take them along with Sherri & her kids to Adventureplex. This is a huge jungle gym type area with slides, ropes, obstacles and more. They had a great time running around for 2 hours but we had to stop for lunch. We decided to extend their fun at Chuck E Cheese where they played for another 2-3 hours. Phew!

Hector and I had a hockey game Kings vs. Stars so Yan-Ro agreed to watch the boys. It was a great game that ended up being tied 2-2 at the end of regulation. 5 minute overtime which was dramatic since we had a penalty for half of it and then it goes to a shoot out.

At the overtime, we moved a few rows down to get a better view and escape the very loud fans behind us. Well, we definitely could see better but it was just as loud. It was very exciting when Alexander Frolov made the goal for the Kings and Dallas didn't score. Yeah, we won!

Oh I also had a celebrity sighting. Greg Kinnear! I was pretty happy although Hector had no clue to who he was...

Here is my bruise which covers a large portion of my leg. Yeah, I'll have this for a bit although I massage it lightly so it'll go away faster.

latest yarn adventures

Boy I guess I have too much to share because here is the latest batch of yarn stuff. I bought some nice angora blend sock yarn from KnitPicks...love these colors. Same yarn after winding into a ball.

A pair of socks I'm knitting. I'm thinking maybe for my mom or someone else with small feet/legs.

A scarf...maybe ... still unsure. Scarves are just soooo long and take lots of time.

I am working on a pair of fingerless handwarmers which should be my first priority since I want to send them off soon.
Btw, I finished reading Twilight which is very good. I can understand why teen girls are so excited about this movie coming out very soon. Now I need to get the others to find out more!! But I still need to finish Brisingr...too much to do!

and furthermore

I can't risk riding on Tyler's skateboard. It looks like so much fun and very similar to snowboarding. So today on our way to the park, I put on some wristguards and tried it. Just a little at a time. Enough to get my confidence and try more. Um, yeah you can guess what happened next. I fell. Hard. On my entire right side with my leg taking most of the brunt along with my hand.
So now my hand has been puffy but not broken. Then I notice after dinner, my right leg has a nice sized egg/bruise on it. Okay not an egg because this is much bigger. A hard swollen palm sized raised bruise on my leg. The colors should be more spectacular tomorrow. I tried taking pictures and it's not as noticeable. But tomorrow will be glorious in colors.

So no more skateboarding for me. I don't want to risk my snowboarding season for that. But I can say I tried.

but wait there's more...

Friday night was family fun night at the kids school. Tonight was a Starry Night where several large telescopes were brought in to look at stars, the moon and planets. It was a beautiful and clear night so of course that meant everyone was there. Long lines at every telescope but the kids managed to look through 3 of them. After that it was time for hot chocolate, popcorn and general fun.

Can you guess what this is?

It is Hector shining his laser pointer at my diamond while I took a picture of the refractions on him. Does that make any sense? Yeah we were bored...the kids were playing on the jungle gym in the dark.

Oh remember our cruise at the end of August? I bought a piece of art and it finally arrived on Friday. I like it and so does Tyler.

activities

Last night Josh and I got to spend some alone time together so we headed to the hockey game. We shared a 10 piece Chicken McNuggets meal which Josh scarfed down 5 nuggets, a bunch a fries and a soda. Then he promptly fell into a deep sleep 4 minutes into the start of the game. :) Granted he had a busy day, I'm sure he got up earlier than usual and had his soccer game at 3 pm. Lots of running at the game and he also scored a goal. I would be exhausted too. But he woke up by the beginning of the second period where he was very enthusiastic and excited. The popcorn helps too.
Plus he got a cool soft covered hockey stick and puck.

Joshua even was shown on the Jumbotron. He noticed other kids on there so I told him to dance when the music started and of course the camera man noticed him. :) Overall we had a great time and hopefully have another hockey night soon.

How Do I Love Thee?

Just Like Heaven by The Cure
"Show me how you do that trick
The one that makes me scream" she said
"The one that makes me laugh" she said
And threw her arms around my neck
"Show me how you do it
And I promise you I promise that I'll run away with you I'll run away with you"
Spinning on that dizzy edge I kissed her face and kissed her head
And dreamed of all the different ways I had
To make her glow
"Why are you so far away?" she said
"Why won't you ever know that I'm in love with you
That I'm in love with you"
You Soft and only
You Lost and lonely
You Strange as angels
Dancing in the deepest oceans
Twisting in the water
You're just like a dream
Daylight licked me into shape
I must have been asleep for days
And moving lips to breathe her name
I opened up my eyes
And found myself alone alone
Alone above a raging sea
That stole the only girl I loved
And drowned her deep inside of me
You Soft and only
You Lost and lonely
You Just like heaven

Words can't describe how much I love Hector and all the times we have shared in 12 years of marriage (today) and 17 years of togetherness. We truly are soulmates and our love deepens and grows with each moment. The song above is the one we danced to in our wedding.

Happy Anniversary honey!

brand new day

I'm trying to bring my camera to shoot Joshua after school which is always fun. He is a very cooperative subject (unlike Tyler) and will always be willing to jump for fun. Lately the weather has been gorgeous with huge, puffy clouds. The rain helped too. At least the horrid heat is over and done with (I hope) and we can move forward into the so-called fall season.
Enjoy your day...

scarf of infinite length

Yay for me, I finished another project. This is another random sock scarf and this one came out soooooo long. When I started I cast on to the end of the yarn and never counted the stitches. Well, it was hard for me to figure how long it was gonna turn out since it's always scrunched up on the cable so after I bound off, I was like WHOA! Resting on my neck both ends of the scarf hit the ground so I'll estimate it at 10 feet and it'll grow a bit more once it's worn. Yikes. So the recipient can easily wrap it around her neck loosely 3-4 times and it'll still be a little long. Luckily, I used sock yarn which is light and thin so it should be perfect for semi-cold weather in SoCal. I love mine. It's hard to tell the length but here it is on the loveseat. Ever since my photo field trip, I've been trying to shoot only in aperture-priority and use manual focus. It works great with inanimate objects but I'm working on it which is very enjoyable. I make many mistakes but hey, I can delete the yucky ones.
Here are some photos where I focused on a portion of the scarf while the rest blurs.

Like I said, I'm trying alot. ;)
Now I need to finish some other knitting and plan what I want to knit for the kids' teachers.

vote

Here is a way the kids like to skateboard. And yes, I get anxious that Josh will crash into my BMW.

I voted today. I went after I dropped the kids off at school. It was just down the street at the senior community so I was hot and sweaty when I arrived. The line was not too bad, about 10 people in line mostly seniors (65 or older) and the room was HOT. I was already warm to begin with but they had the heat on plus the seniors were wearing sweaters. Ugh. It made me sweat more looking at them. It'll be nice to done with all the political hoopla and babbling.

I forgot to post Halloween pictures of the kids. They both has a great time and made a quick pass around the cul de sac. Later Tyler went out again with Hector and Carlos while Josh was content to hand out candy to the other kids.

We have a hockey game tonight against the Ducks which is always a rowdy game. Hopefully the Kings will find that inner spirit to win...cuz they need it.

Last night Hector and I lay in bed talking about the silly things we've done together. We were laughing like dorks reminiscing on events which I'm sure other people will think stupid or not funny at all. But hey, after being together for 15+ years it's nice to be able to laugh and still talk. Hector is my silly cheeseboy and I love him. Now stop poking me! ;p

field trip

Last week, Veronica invited me to a photo field trip at the South Bay Botanical gardens. She has been taking a photography class and said I could tag along with the group. Cool. I was a little worried that the rain would carry over to today but the weather was great. Blue skies with scattered clouds.

There were about 10 people that gathered at the entrance but soon after we entered, several took off on their own. Four of us women stayed with Rich the instructor and it was lots of fun. He used my camera for an example and fixed all the settings for me because I messed them a while ago and didn't know how to change them. Yes, I'm a dork.

So we started shooting and I won't bore you with the details but I did learn a lot. I took many pictures and here are some of them.

more adventures in art

This morning Joshua and his class had their art project. All the kids jumped into the project and it was interesting how every child's poppies are different. Here is Josh's painting and it came out very nice. I like how his flowers are different and he used colors. I can see us doing this more at home.

art appreciation

Yesterday was Adventures in Art for Tyler's class and I agreed to help. We learned about Emil Nolde and his use of watercolors in Expressionism. The class was to do their own version of Red Poppies which was easy and fun to do. It looked like so much fun that I want to try it.

So today, Sherri and I along with Amber went to Joann's to get an idea of the cost. I found all the supplies which I can purchase separately when I saw a Chinese Brush kit which basically uses the same things but in a handy kit for only $19.99. Sherri and I oohed and awed over it but we were good and didn't buy it. I can come back later and use my 40% off coupon. :)

Tomorrow Josh's class will get to paint Red Poppies so I get to help twice. It will be nice to see how the two will turn out. Each child has their own individual style.

Click here for more Emil Nolde.

aka

Last night at the Kings/Detroit game Hector went up to our pseudo-brother JJ aka Carlos. They shared a laugh and posed for a picture.

circus act 2

Tyler is pretty good at balancing the feather so we bought one as a souvenir.

more circus fun

Ok, I'm really behind...but here is more fun stuff from our circus night.
First we have hula hoops....

good efforts by both

here is Josh posing with his soccer team banner. How cool is that? All the kids love it so much that each member can have the banner for a week to display.

Coming out of the shell

Lately I noticed Joshua speaking out more and initiating conversations. Tyler is a blabber mouth while Joshua tends to chime in. Joshua is now starting the conversations at school etc which makes me happy. Now I have to force myself to really listen for his voice because Josh now has something to say (not just repeating what Tyler says).

I helped out in Josh's class today and I paint the kids' hands with green paint to make handprints. Two years ago, I would have had a screaming, semi-hysterical boy that refused to touch paint, playdoh or shaving cream. Today he was perfect and cooperative.

Josh also got to lead the class in the pledge of allegiance so that was super cute to watch.

We pulled out the Halloween costumes to make sure everything is good and Josh is so excited to be Speed Racer. I can predict he will want to wear that costume everyday after Halloween.

phone/iPod cozy

Okay, I'm a geek. I forgot to show another little knit item that I whipped up. Not only did I felt it, I felted it. ;) That was for Hector (inside joke).

See, here it is before I felt it. Yes, I know my phone is upside down but I wanted to show scale. It looks like the whole photo is upside down. Doh! well, you get the idea.

But after it's felted up, it's perfect!

I found the pattern on ravelry.com which is so wonderful and helpful. There are so many talented people that come up with patterns for whatever you want to knit. I just knit because I'm kinda lame in the designing category. It's amazing what the internet can do...
BTW She-ra loves it!

Here is Josh doing his circus act. This footage is from the first night we attended. We later went again the next week so I'll post those videos another time.

Not much planned for the weekend. We went to Koji (Korean bbq) for dinner tonight and I am stuffed. Tyler did well by eating 4 green beans. Yay. We celebrated Hector getting paid. I'll cook for the rest of the week. Curry sounds good.

The LA Kings played St Louis tonight and they blew them out 4-0. Yay again.

finishing touches

I finished the felted purses a while ago, but just finished knitting the flower today. Here it is all put together. It is a small purse probably more suited for a your girl or someone who doesn't need to haul a lot. I would not be able to use a purse like this for every day.
Here Josh is showing the scale of the purse. Don't worry, he won't be scarred or traumatized byt this. He has already forgotten.

See his masculinity is still intact. He put his Mach 5 down in order to hold the purse so I could get the one shot then he took off with his 'precious' race car.
