Last Hurrah...

for Tyler's 5th grade class was yesterday. Boy, it was a jam packed fun day. The morning was spent with game stations set up around the park where the 5th graders could try. Once they were done with the game, they'd get that game marked off to earn a goodie bag.

I was in charge of the Spongebob relay game. One person would grab a sponge full of water, run to the other bucket and wring out the water then run to the finish line. The team would work to fill the bucket up to the line. The kids really seemed to enjoy it and later I'd get repeat visitors wanting to play again.

Next was the class photo and big water bomb fight followed by lunch. Hawaiian food (teriyaki chicken and beef) with rice and chow mein. Clean up at the park then a nice slide show of the past year was shown in the cafeteria with lots of moms tearing up. Not me, although I started to at the end but the show ended. Phew!!

Certain kids were called out for their achievements and Tyler was honored for his outstanding math abilities. :) Finally, the ice cream social was awesome with stations scooping out ice cream, toppings, chocolate syrup, whipped cream and cherries. Lots of kids got seconds, that's a lot of ice cream!! :)

Overall, it was a busy day but so much fun.
