My boy got his first pair of eyeglasses. He was reluctant a couple of weeks ago to the whole idea but he put the glasses and was amazed at his now perfect vision.
I explained how he needs to put them back in the case when he wasn't wearing them, thinking he might wear them just to read the board or other long distance vision but no, he puts them on when he wakes up and puts them away right before bed.
