Busyness

Keeping busy and like usual, getting pulled in every direction but I managed to complete some stuff.

Adventure Time freezer paper stencil T-shirts for the boys. Gunter and Jake! :)

Like some stencilling on Tshirts for the kids using freezer paper. It's so much fun!
Note: I got the Jake stencil from the Cartoon Network Facebook page. Just do a google search for it. Gunther's stencil I made myself. I found an image of Gunther and drew him out then when I went to make the stencil I didn't connect all the lines completely thus making a stencil. If people are really interested...I can try uploading the Gunther stencil if I get enough comments...

Pair of Gunther Tshirts.

I also sewed my Fionna hat and backpack so I'm going to do a test run at a streetpass meetup/costume party on Saturday so hopefully I'll have more photos then.

Meanwhile,  I'm becoming more comfortable sewing and finished earlier than I thought. So I had time to bake some pumpkin cookies with brown butter icing. Oh wow, I like these a lot. The icing was a bit too thin so it doesn't really show up that well but they still taste mighty fine!! :)

The cookies taste pretty good without the icing too. Have a great weekend!!

Thrills

Last week, Hector called asking if he should get tickets to Magic Mountain for Saturday night for a special private event. I said sure but wasn't exactly sure what the kids would be interested in since Magic Mountain specializes in roller coasters and my kids aren't the extreme enthusiasts (yet). But I thought it would be a great chance for them to see what was available and they could make their own decisions.

The park is closed at 6pm to the general public and only the wristbanded people can stay after that. From that point on, the park is practically empty. I don't think we had to wait more than a few minutes. Josh was not eager for a majority of the rides but he was especially pumped up for the Sky Tower (weird, because he is afraid of heights) and the funicular. Add the bumper cars and he was done for the night.

Tyler on the other hand was starting to get more adventurous. He tried the Gold Rusher (even I loved that as a kid) and the Revolution. I don't have pictures to show since it was night and most are blurry. Since we avoided the extreme rides at the park, we went through  the park in 2.5 hours. Yes, we are very efficient.

Simple Fun

Yesterday, the kids wanted to ride their bikes so Hector hauled them out of the garage along with his bike and they went cruising around.

Splashy fun

I told Josh to ride through the puddles and hold his legs up. After the first run, he did it over and over again. He had a nice splash mark on the back of his T-shirt from all his runs but he really enjoyed it. It funs to ride your bike and it's even more fun to ride it through puddles. :)

Amped and Ready

Yesterday, The Coffee Bean was giving away 3 flavors of ice blendeds between 4-7pm, thanks to an update from Hannah on FB.
The kids (Josh) wanted to go inline skating at the park but I postponed that idea for a bit to hustle and grab some ice blendeds. Tyler ordered a pom-blueberry drink before I could tell him that wasn't on the list of free drinks but hey, 2 out of 3 drinks free isn't bad. Joshua got cookies n cream and I tried the mocha chocolate chip. The cashier was kind enough to offer decaf for Joshua and I didn't think of doing the same for my drink. Doh!!

Oh well, our drinks was delicious and it was time to get active in the park. It always take time to get Joshua in all his safety gear but worth it while Tyler opted for his electric scooter.

Here are some pictures....
