Snapshots

Quick little snapshots that capture what I've been up to...
Tyler's 8th grade promotion ceremony.

On to high school! In the fall.
Tyler all grown up. Where did the time go?
Summer #knitting #blender #socks I can't stop.

Some Blender socks to use up those leftover bits of sock yarn although I found a new leftover project called the Beekeeper's Quilt that will be super long term...more on that in a bit.

Chocolate peanut butter pretzel #cookies Works for that sweet/salty combo.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel cookies.

Oh these cookies are divine! Chocolate and peanut butter chips along with some salty pretzels and it's a match made in heaven. :)

1st hexipuff. #leftover #sock #yarn Only 300+ more to go #blanketinprogress

Here is my first hexipuff that will join legions of other little hexipuffs to become a blanket like in the photo background. I mean lots. I think I need to knit more socks to get leftovers or just dive right into the sock yarn to feed this insanity...

Off for a little jaunt with the kids for a few days so I will see you when I see you...

flashback

Tejeda sisters. We miss/ love you Becky! #throwbackthursday

Found a box full of photos and here is one from a Christmas Eve dinner at Lupe's. I am not sure of year but I'm guessing 1997 or so. :)

I think we need to take more photos of our gatherings. I have to keep that in mind.

Last Day of school

Both kids have another milestone day today with the end of elementary & middle school. Everything has happened so fast but we are so very proud of both our sons.

This week has been crazy with all sorts of activities and after today, it'll be over for the year.

I didn't have time to take a proper pic of them but did managed to get one quick shot on my phone. More later...

New Hobby

I'm having fun painting and I get ideas from paint nite and the internet.

Of course with all the extras I'm accumulating, I will be either stockpiling them for Christmas or selling them to discerning art collectors. Whatever happens first.....

Cherry Blossom #2

8 x 10 inches on canvas board. Perfect for filling in those spaces in your bathroom, hallways and more!

OMG, It's Friday!

and OMG, I finally posted again!

The LA Kings are in the Stanley Cup Finals and I have to get that out of the way. I won't bore you with my excitement but Hector can attest to my shrill screaming when the Kings advanced to the Finals. Believe me, he won't ever let me live that down. I was letting out all my pent up anxiety from the playoffs and the entire neighborhood knew it. No, the police didn't arrive so it couldn't have been that bad.

Even more exciting for some is that I'm getting through my spring break photos to Washington DC which seemed like eons ago (April, when playoffs began)...so enjoy. Not much to say about DC except that it is huge and vast. Very tourist friendly but we did some major walking averaging 5 miles a day. Josh got to be only child for a week and he adapted well.

We rode the metro daily which was convenient and easy. We didn't put a dent in the numerous historical attractions. I really enjoyed myself especially during the cherry blossom season.

There are still hundreds of photos to go through too so enjoy the small sampling.
